Dietary guidelines for swimmers

Children have to eat foods rich in vitamin and minerals so they grow healthy and strong. Children have to eat enough of it to fuel the calories burned by physical activities, eating, and even resting. Swimmers, as well as other athletes, need more calories to support the calories burned during practice sessions and during competition. The topics below give information on additional calories needed by swimmers, and the kinds of food the swimmers should be eating to fuel their energy needs.
